The Maldives offer a holiday experience like no other place in the world. Every resort is located on its own island, in other words, one resort per island, which means there are no outsiders visiting except for guests and staff. This means you pretty much have your own private island, it even sometimes feels like it’s an uninhabited island in off-peak season. A secluded, private island with water villas, beach villas and infinity pools. Your slice of paradise.
Every resort is entirely self-sufficient, this means they have their own desalinated water, powerhouse, in-house gardens for fresh produce, garbage is removed by boat and freshly caught fish is served daily.
People say that these islands are safe for kids because your children can’t get lost. The islands are small, yet big enough to want to explore. Once you arrive on the island, you can relax and enjoy your time, while your kids enjoy their time.
We love to cater for new and old love! Our resorts are hotspots for honeymoon couples, renewing your vows or even anniversary Maldives holidays. Every resort has features perfect for couples, private infinity pools, specifically requested dining experiences and more.
The geography of the Maldives is extremely unique. There are over 150 resorts in the Maldives located on their own private islands. This concept of one island - one resort is exclusive to the Maldives islands only.
The large booking sites often sell everything in the Maldives as “Hotels”, so people can easily book a hotel with the intention to book a resort island.
A Hotel is usually located on a larger island also inhabited by the locals, these sometimes have guest houses or large multistory buildings with many hotel apartments.
The big sites often miss this important distinction, as their goal is to make a sale. However, the user can easily be misled with the omission of this information and miss out on the unique Maldives experience. Our goal at Madly Global is to ensure this does not happen with the information provided in our booking engine.
Another bit of information that isn’t always clear on the bigger websites is that to experience the Maldives unique one island - one resort geography; once you arrive at the airport you will need to organise a transfer to your island resort. This transfer is via a speed boat or seaplane and has additional fees associated with them.
Often large booking sites don’t include these hidden fees. However, at Madly Global we include the transfer and help facilitate you getting to your island safe and sound from the International Airport without any surprises.
Madly Global is dedicated to providing you with the convenience of the big booking sites while also providing you with an experience that is tailored to travelling through the Maldives.
The Maldives often has picturesque, sunny weather most of the year. However. lying close to the equator and within the doldrums, these tropical islands can be subjected a dry season & a wet season. The dry season is between November and April, bringing little rain and lower humidity, while the wet season is between May-October, bringing more rain & and higher winds.
The northern atolls typically have a higher rainfall from May to November, while the southern Atolls from November to March.
So peak travel season is typically within the Dry season between December and March.
Maldives has one international airport that is being serviced by international flights from Europe, Middle East, Singapore, Sri-Lanka and other regions, and it is named Male International Airport. You will need to take a sea plane or a speed boat to reach your resort from Male Airport. The trip can range from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on the location of your resort.
So your plane ticket is paid for and the hotel room booked. Now leading up to the trip, you spend your day, daydreaming about your getaway, the last thing to do is to pack. Don’t worry; packing can be a breeze if you know what you’re taking.
You don’t want to be the tourist that packs their entire room only to forget the one crucial item. Or be stranded somewhere with heaps of bags.
Here is a guide we put together after working with thousands of visitors. We know what works well specifically for the Maldives. The ultimate Maldives packing list.
Dwelling in the mystic blue hues that surround the small pearl-shaped islands of the Maldives is a multitude of life that will take your breath away.
Above the surface we can help create a luxurious peaceful escape, below the surface is a majestic world like no other, where the background noise fades into the rumbling of waves. Submerging into this aquatic paradise gives way to coral gardens stretching as far as your eye can see.
Once you dip into the turquoise water from your private water villa, you’ll quickly get lost between the wings of manta rays and find yourself swallowed by the shadows of whale sharks. Seeing the beauty of these magnificent creatures up close and in your vicinity is an experience that no one could ever forget in their lifetime.
That’s why we do what we do. We are mad about the Maldives. Once you have a taste of what’s on offer, it’s hard to not come back.

It was a very remarkable vacation we had in Angaga. My husband and I were able to spend our one-week honeymoon on a perfect Maldivian island. It would not be possible if it wasn’t for Madly Global who helped us arrange this unforgettable experience. Thank you so much.

We are extremely satisfied with our stay in the Maldives on a beautiful small Island with a beach, in bungalows over the water. My family enjoyed the water activities. The calm scenery of the seaside was very relaxing. Our trip was perfectly arranged by Madly Global. It’s the best travel experience we’ve had so far.
